TIND expands US operations with hiring Kathy McCarthy

Released August 26, 2016

Geneva, Switzerland – August 26, 2016. Kathy McCarthy has joined CERN spin-off TIND as Vice President of Partnership Development, effective September 1st, 2016. Previously employed at Innovative Interfaces as Business Director for California, McCarthy brings nearly eight years of library automation industry knowledge and customer relationship management experience.

McCarthy received a master’s degree in Library Science and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007.

“It’s so exciting to be a part of one of the most advanced products on the library market”, said McCarthy. “Having worked with so many libraries over the years, it’s clear that many are ready for a different type of vendor/customer relationship, one that is deeply collaborative and truly visionary. With TIND, a library can actually be a participant in the process of reimagining how a modern library software platform should perform. TIND’s sleek and elegant architecture is like a breath of fresh air.”

McCarthy will spearhead the partnership expansion efforts for TIND, whose growing list of leading library innovation partners includes Olin College of Engineering, the California Institute of Technology and the University of Minnesota.

McCarthy is TIND’s first full-time U.S. hire, and will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
