Written by Amy Sparrow | October 23, 2026

Cincinnati, Ohio, and Oslo, Norway, 23 October, 2026. Xavier University has selected TIND DA and TIND IR, along with TIND’s journal publishing tools, to bring its digital collections, faculty and student scholarship, and journal publishing onto a single platform. The move includes migrating from Digital Commons and advancing compliance with digital accessibility standards.

"TIND will provide greater efficiencies to digital repository workflows, advance compliance with digital accessibility standards, and enhance digital preservation of digital repository content.”

— Anne Ryckbost, University Archivist and Head, Special Services, University Library.

Xavier is migrating over roughly 65,000 records and 61,000 files from Digital Commons, built up through nearly two decades of digitization. The digital archive includes yearbooks, newspapers, course catalogs, photographs, and correspondence alongside current faculty and student research. Two existing journals move with the migration, including one with full in-house peer review, and the university is already looking at adding more, with an eye toward new journals covering artificial intelligence.

"We are excited that TIND will improve user experiences with search, discovery, and use of Xavier-created digital content.”

— Anne Ryckbost, University Archivist and Head, Special Services, University Library.
