Released December 12, 2025

Elon, NC, and Oslo, Norway – December 12, 2025. Elon University has selected TIND to bring its digital collections, scholarly works and research data into a single repository platform. Migrating from CONTENTdm, the TIND platform will provide Elon with a more intuitive and user-friendly environment for managing and showcasing their archival materials, while also launching new repository services for research data and scholarly material.

Elon’s Carol Grotnes Belk Library maintains a wide range of digital collections documenting the university and the surrounding region, highlighting the people, events, and milestones that have shaped its history. The collections span everything from photographs and postcards to publications, presidential correspondence, honors theses, and audio and video materials. As the library now broadens its services to include research data and additional scholarly outputs, TIND provides a unified, hosted environment that supports discovery, preservation, and long-term stewardship across all asset types.

“Elon University is excited to partner with TIND as we strengthen and expand our digital infrastructure,” said Brian Mathews, Dean and University Librarian of the Carol Grotnes Belk Library. “This platform will allow us to migrate and enhance our existing digital library collections, giving our community a better user experience and a more intuitive environment for managing and showcasing our archival materials. At the same time, TIND provides the foundation for two new services at Elon: a data repository and an institutional repository for student, faculty, and staff scholarship.”

Brian Mathews adds further: “TIND aligns with Elon's commitment to engaged experiential learning. Our community is consistently recognized for excellence in undergraduate teaching, and this platform will help us curate and share the stories, history, research, and creative achievements that define the university. We look forward to working closely with the TIND team and joining a community of institutions that are advancing preservation, discovery, and open access in meaningful ways.”

Elon joins a growing number of North Carolina institutions selecting TIND, including the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, and Duke University.
