As a renowned U.S. preparatory school serving over 1,000 students, Phillips Exeter Academy has built a remarkably comprehensive archival program to preserve its institutional history, including historical photographs, correspondence, rare books, and manuscripts—some dating back centuries. Exeter sought a dedicated digital archive to better organize and provide public access to its collections while also streamlining submission processes.

Magee Lawhorn, Director of Archives & Special Collections at Exeter, emphasized the immediate impact of TIND DA’s user-friendly submission tools on their workflows. "The form functionality for submitting archival materials has immediately changed our workflow for the better. The form allows us to easily ingest future born-digital materials from internal departments."

She also highlighted how TIND’s flexibility and attentiveness made them an excellent partner for a smaller institution. “I enjoyed working with TIND because they were very flexible and attentive to our needs. We are a smaller organization, a high school looking to preserve our institutional history, and they treated us respectfully and addressed our concerns independent of our size.”
Laura Wood, Director of Academy Library, highlighted the significant impact of TIND’s implementation support and the enhanced user experience of the new platform, describing it as transformative for the library.

"I've really appreciated the implementation support services during this process. The folks behind the support portal have helped so much with our troubleshooting and testing of various features. Being able to share and accept materials using TIND DA is a huge game changer for ensuring file integrity, while also being a big upgrade for the user experience."
