Originally developed and maintained in-house, the repository grew to host collections from FIU and a network of partner libraries statewide. As the need for scalability, richer media support, and collaborative workflows grew, FIU sought a sustainable platform to ensure continued growth and access for the future. By migrating to TIND DA, FIU preserves the familiar dPanther identity while modernizing the user experience and technical infrastructure. The upgraded repository provides users with a clean, intuitive interface and a unified, browser-based viewing environment for text, image, audio, and video. For library staff, the platform simplifies daily work and collaboration. With flexible submission forms, batch ingest tools, and granular permissions, TIND DA enables FIU and its partners to efficiently curate, manage, and share collections across institutions. “We’re thrilled to announce the launch of FIU Libraries’ new digital collections platform, powered by TIND,” said Jamie Rogers, Assistant Dean for Strategic Initiatives at FIU. “This milestone marks a major step forward in our ability to preserve, steward, and share the unique cultural heritage materials entrusted to our care.
