Released August 08, 2025

Greenville, SC, and Oslo, Norway - August 8, 2025. Furman University has selected TIND Digital Archive (TIND DA) as its new digital collections platform, migrating from CONTENTdm to preserve and provide access to archival and special collections. With its modern and intuitive user interface and advanced metadata tools, TIND DA will help Furman make its materials more accessible to researchers, students, and the public.

Furman University’s digital repository currently houses nearly 250K items and 70 collections, including historical photographs, audio recordings of concerts and recitals, University publications, manuscripts, and rare books. Furman also hosts digital collections for seven cultural institutions in Upstate South Carolina in partnership with the South Carolina Digital Library. All of these collections will be migrated from CONTENTdm into TIND DA over the summer and fall of 2025.

“Furman University Libraries are excited to implement TIND for our primary digital collections repository,” said Christy Allen, Associate Director for Digital and Resource Management. “We reviewed several digital collections systems, and selected TIND for its streamlined interface, intuitive user experience, and powerful searching capabilities. In 2026, Furman University will be celebrating its Bicentennial, and TIND will allow users to easily interact with the history of Furman University like never before.”
