As Furman marks its 200th year, it brings together the university's own digital collections and the materials it hosts for seven Upstate South Carolina cultural institutions on a single platform.
"Furman University is celebrating our bicentennial year, so we've seen a substantial increase in the use of our digital collections. We are excited that TIND can provide a faster, more intuitive interface, and more robust results for all those engaging with the University's history during this landmark anniversary."
Christy Allen, Associate Director for Digital & Resource Management,
Furman University Libraries
The move brought roughly 250,000 items across more than 70 digital collections out of ContentDM. Through Furman's partnership with the South Carolina Digital Library, the platform also hosts the digital collections of seven Upstate South Carolina cultural institutions in the same Furman-managed environment.
Furman joins a community of academic libraries that have moved their digital collections to TIND, including Elon University and Cedarville University.
