Milwaukee, WI and Oslo, Norway, September 19, 2025. The Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) has gone live on TIND Institutional Repository (IR) and TIND Digital Archive (DA). Migrating from SirsiDynix Portfolio, MSOE joins a growing number of academic libraries unifying their digital archive and institutional repository on a single platform to streamline workflows and improve discoverability and accessibility across collections.

The new unified repository brings together the university’s scholarly output and its unique cultural heritage in a single platform. Theses, capstone projects, and other academic publications now sit alongside digitized photographs, archival materials, recordings, and audiovisual content. By combining institutional research and archival collections in one system, MSOE provides broader access while simplifying management and discovery for both staff and users.
“Combining the institutional repository and digital archive in one platform reduces the complexity of managing separate systems. It saves time and resources while improving discovery and visibility across collections. For smaller libraries with limited resources, this combination is proving to be especially effective,” says Alexander Nietzold, CEO of TIND
