The North Carolina Digital Heritage Center selects TIND DA

Released January 18, 2019

Chapel Hill, NC and Oslo, Norway – January 18, 2019. The North Carolina Digital Heritage Center, housed in the University Libraries at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has selected the TIND Digital Archive (TIND DA). NCDHC is migrating over 1 million images from CONTENTdm.

NCDHC

After years of investigation, NCDHC landed on the TIND Digital Archive for managing, publishing and preserving their cultural and historic materials. Made available at DigitalNC.org, their digital collections include rare and unique materials from over 230 cultural heritage institutions in North Carolina. It’s an ever-growing collection, with 60-70 thousand scans added on a yearly basis.

“We’re thrilled to be working with TIND to make North Carolina’s cultural heritage more accessible.”

Says Lisa Gregory, Program Coordinator at the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center.

“We’re excited to welcome NCDHC to our growing community of former CONTENTdm users. We are humble that such a professional and large-scale digitization organization has opted for our services — it continues to prove that our state-of-the-art and highly scalable Digital Archive product is becoming increasingly attractive to academic libraries.”

Says Alexander Nietzold, CEO at TIND.
