Portland, Oregon, and Oslo, Norway, 16 October 2026. Reed College has gone live on TIND DA and TIND IR, replacing its homegrown digital collections and repository platform. The two products bring Reed’s images, archives, theses, and course-specific collections onto a single platform.

"We are excited for the powerful search features, accessibility improvements, and digital preservation support for theses and other irreplaceable digital materials."
— Laura Buchholz, Discovery & Systems Librarian, Reed College Library.
Reed migrated approximately 4TB of data and 400,000 files from its previous homegrown platform, built more than a decade ago as a collaboration between the Library and Reed IT. The move brings the art and architecture image collections used in Art and Humanities 110 courses, the Quest archives and historical photographs from Reed's Special Collections, the Reed College Etheses Collection of senior and MALS theses, and course-specific collections built by faculty onto Reed Digital Collections at rdc.reed.edu.
Reed joins a growing group of academic libraries running TIND DA and TIND IR together on a single platform, including fellow liberal arts college Colorado College, private universities Elon University and Cedarville University, and public institutions Rhode Island College and the Oregon Institute of Technology.
