According to David Seiler, the Lucy Scribner Library Visual Resources Director:

“What attracted our team to TIND is its ability to accommodate the complexity and individuality of our collections, which include yearbooks, newspapers, artist books, oral histories, manuscripts, and other content.”

A hosted solution makes the most sense for a campus of Skidmore’s size, notes College Librarian, Marta Brunner:

“And we were impressed by the support and services TIND is prepared to offer.” She also appreciated TIND’s commitment to open source software development for libraries. “Our digital collections already present complex interface challenges. Knowing that TIND has a strong connection to the developer community is reassuring.”

Skidmore College joins a growing number of academic libraries migrating from CONTENTdm to the TIND Digital Archive, notes Alexander Nietzold, CEO at TIND:

"Skidmore College is the third U.S, academic library to migrate from CONTENTdm to TIND DA. We are excited about providing libraries with an open, modern and scalable solution for managing their complete digital collections.”
