Washington University in St. Louis Selects TIND Research Data Management

St. Louis, MO, and Oslo, Norway – February 10, 2023Washington University in St. Louis has selected TIND RDM as its new research data repository, migrating from Digital Commons. TIND RDM will be used to share and publish datasets and supplemental files, including spreadsheets, protocols, field sheets, analysis scripts, and images. Supporting FAIR principles, integrating with DataCite, and offering a data curation workflow, TIND RDM offers WashU a strong foundation for sharing and publishing research data for long-term access and future use.

Washington University in St. Louis is ranked among the top universities in the United States and is classified among R1 Doctoral Universities. To curate, manage, enhance, and preserve the institution’s research outputs for long-term access,  WashU Libraries support a comprehensive RDM program. As part of the evolution of this service, they have chosen to migrate from its existing repository to TIND RDM.

TIND RDM met our needs by providing a hosted solution that integrates the DataCite schema and supports our data curation workflow”, said Jennifer Moore, WashU Head of Data Services. “As an institution, we are committed to FAIR data sharing, and we believe TIND RDM positions us well to meet that commitment.”

TIND RDM provides highly customizable, flexible data submission workflows to meet an institution’s specific data repository requirements.TIND’s products support the DataCite schema, ensuring data is sharable in DataCite, and making it easy for institutions to make research discoverable and accessible, as well as assigning persistent identifiers (DOIs).
